Kicking off the new year
We’re excited to be back on board for 2022. Last year we established some of the key areas that we are going to focus on radically re-thinking and re-designing. In 2022, we’re eager to be jumping into the design research phase where we’ll be imagining new approaches to rehabilitation design with our network of architecture partners.
We’re also busy working on a few academic papers that will share more about the NOVELL Method with the global healthcare design community, and are looking at ways to broaden the impact of the design research we are doing. We’re looking forward to being able to share these with you over the course of the year, and of course, to engage with our diverse communities of stakeholders and continue to broaden our evidence base through all our processes.
Some of the key things we’re really excited for in the year ahead include:
piloting two of our design briefs with our architecture partners
hosting a series of workshops with stroke survivors and clinicians to co-design some responses to the briefs we have created together
developing further insights into the role the NOVELL Method and living labs more generally can play in helping drive innovation in healthcare built environments
beginning to test our design ideas with people with lived experience of rehabilitation environments, and
continuing to forge strong connections and expanding our network of collaborators.
If you’ve been thinking about getting involved in the NOVELL Redesign project but aren’t sure how you might be able to contribute, get in touch with us via our partnering page so that we can discuss ways you might like to get involved.
